![]() ![]() ![]() Its a simple game idea where I could make something that has some fun gameplay elements, and a clean cartoony artstyle all inside of an interesting setting. This is the Tawaki Project website check them out! ![]() This was a perfect setting for me because it allowed me to be more creative with the environment and colors than just a generic white icescape. There’s a few species that live away from Ice but in my research I came across the Tawaki Project which is trying to figure out more of the day to day life and breeding cycles of the Fjord-land Penguins in New Zealand. I’ve always loved penguins but I was most interested in Penguins that didn’t live on ice. One of the projects that’s slowly evolved over time is a game I’m calling “What a Day” Said the Penguin. I’m generally always thinking about some sort of project that I either want to do or want to keep working on. The basic design of the character was a Swamp Frog Wizard! I had a great time coming up with the whole backstory of the character, who he is and why he’s a Swamp Frog Wizard. I did have a lot of help from my niece Ava who gave me some great ideas and even some awesome drawings that she did of her own character ideas. I had a great time working on the concept and creating the design of the character, but I didn’t do it all by myself. It was called “Art of War” and the brief was to create a character that was based around one of 4 basic elements (Earth, Air, Fire, Water) and some how incorporate a design element provided. A bit ago I joined an art challenge to create a 3D character with a few basic guidelines. ![]()
